Juniper and I lock eyes once more. “We’re ready,” we say in unison. Then we move to the doorway, and the music swells.

It’s a beautiful day. The sky hanging over the Lazy R Ranch is cloudless and full of sunshine, an almost too-blue blue. Birds chirp on nearby trees while horses neigh in the distance. The grassy aisle leading to the altar is lined with delicate-smelling wildflowers in shades of yellow, purple, and pink. And at the end of the stone path, I see the loves of my life, standing next to the loves of my best friend’s life.

Ben and Brandon look dapper in their sharp suits, the deep navy color bringing out the gleam in their eyes. Next to them, Shane and Stanton are equally handsome in their grey suits. All four of them wear wildflower boutonnieres that match our bouquets perfectly.

As Juniper and I walk side by side down the aisle toward our happily-ever-afters, I smile and beam at the many faces that helped us get to where we are today. My parents, holding precious Melanie, cry lightly as they watch me walk toward the altar. Next to them, Juniper’s parents look equally emotional, proud of their daughter. Melanie’s four children squirm in their chairs but are caught up by the sight of their mother and wave excitedly in our direction.

There are other familiar faces, too. My boss from the coffee shop shoots me a thumbs up, while Juniper’s former teacher from the Lazy R, Hester, clasps her hands in delight. But then my eyes catch a flash of piercing blue, and I smile internally. My husbands told me they had old friends who would be flying in for the wedding, and I realize that these two handsome men must be Rick and Ryder Walsh. They’re gorgeous twin brothers who couldn’t be more attractive in their dark suits, given those broad shoulders and bronzed skin. I can already sense the single ladies at our wedding sizing Rick and Ryder up from all sides.

But today isn’t about matchmaking. Today, my best friend and I are getting married to the men who make us so happy, and who have already given us children. As we approach the aisle, Ben and Brandon take my hands, while Shane and Stanton escort Juniper to stand to our left. Together, the six of us take our vows.

The ceremony is simple, sweet, and filled with love. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to commit myself to the handsome cops, and I know Juniper feels the same way about her gorgeous cowboys.

“And now, ladies and gentlemen, I present you Mr. and Mrs. Stanton and Shane Regan, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Brandon and Ben Cartwright! You may officially kiss your brides!” the preacher crows.

The crowd cheers as our husbands claim our lips, and afterwards, the reception goes into full swing very quickly. I guess people are ready to party and chow down.

After all, we decided to host an outdoor barbecue, complete with fresh slaw, corn on the cob, and home-churned ice cream. Our children run around and play with one another, the two older boys keeping an eye on the three young girls. My parents get along swimmingly with Junie’s folks, and the four of them sip champagne and gossip about us as children, sharing embarrassing stories with anyone who will listen. On the dance floor, a few close friends groove to the band’s upbeat tune, and everyone has a great time.

Sitting next to my best friend, we giggle as we note the hotness of our four husbands: their muscular physiques, strong jawlines, and impressive natural tans are incredibly arresting.

“Damn, we’re lucky,” Juniper says as she stuffs a forkful of barbecue into her mouth.

“I mean, our husbands are hot,” I agree and wriggle my eyebrows suggestively in their direction. Ben notices and just chuckles from a distance, while Brandon winks at me.

“I can’t believe this is my life,” Juniper sighs as she gestures around the Lazy R. “And it’s so great that you’re moving even closer!”

I giggle because after everything got settled, I moved into Brandon and Ben’s house. It’s a huge place, but we decided to go even bigger because little Melanie was on the way. As a result, we found a six-bedroom ranch about thirty minutes outside of the city, a mere twenty minute drive from the Lazy R.

“I can’t wait for you to see our new home,” I gush. “I’m going to need lots of help getting it spruced up and decorated.”

Juniper giggles. “Are Ben and Brandon going to work the land?”

I shake my head. “No. Well, sort of. They’re still with the Sheridan PD full-time, but they’re definitely interested in planting some trees and putting in some sod. Brandon told me they were going to talk to Shane and Stanton about some ideas. We’ll see how it all unfolds.”
