“N-no. Why would you ask that?” I shake my head not believing her. My eyes take another moment to drink in every fucking curve on her body and sweet mercy, she has a body made for sin. Its a fucking miracle some sick fuck hasn’t kidnapped her and turned her into his slave. Which if I am honest doesn't sound half bad.

My mind begins to formulate a plan and the more she stands here scowling at me, the more I am convinced it is meant to be. “I will tell you what, instead of turning you into the sheriff, I will make you a deal.” When I mention the sheriff I see the recognition of just how much trouble she could be in. “You move into my house and work in my store and I will pay you. I will deduct what you tried to steal and pay you the rest.” She stops trying to reach and looks at me like I am crazy.

“You want to help me? Why?” I lean further into her and inhale her sweet sugar candy scent. “Fuck if I know.” I step back real quick before I do something to get my old ass thrown in jail. “Take it or leave it?”

She sticks out her bratty little tongue while she thinks but it is all for show. We both know she is not going to turn this down. I might not know what is going on with her, but I know she needs something and fuck if I don’t want to be the one to give it to her. “Fine, but I am only cleaning for you.” Even as she says it her eyes haven’t left my crotch. That’s right little girl, take a good hard look because the minute she is legal this something hard is going to split her in two.

Chapter Two

Julep

This is not how I saw this plan going. It started off in the crapper after being caught in my own scheme, by the Mayor almost as soon as I got here. “In what universe is this I.D. real?” definitely not how I saw this going. Here I am sitting in the office of Mayor Hollow, my hands in my lap, chest pounding like I am taking a lie detector test and for all intents and purposes, I might as well be. The moment I walked into the room, confident and so sure this was going to work, but almost like a hound dog he sniffed out the lie and now I am sitting in the principal's office being lectured on a felony.

I am trying so hard not to cry right now and his soft amenable words are not helping. He is not berating me, more like educating me like someone who cares. “I-I thought it would work?” I say swallowing, trying to figure out my next move.

“Maybe on an amateur. Now what I want to know is why a young girl like you would be interested in being a mail order bride and so desperate she would commit a crime to do it?” Shoot. I am in no way ready to admit any of what is happening in my life. So instead I rely on the one thing I always have, my smart mouth.

“Daddy issues, I guess. I figured some old man can help heal what ails me.” His face grimaces before he stands up and walks towards me.

“I’ll tell you what, you scoot yourself out of my office and town in the next twenty-four hours and I won’t have my sheriff arrest you.” Crap. Dang it. “Now if you excuse me.” He dismisses me and with nothing left to say, I get up, tail between my legs and walk out.

Now I am standing in the middle of the general store, items I have attempted to steal in my pocket with the owner standing over me like a freaking God or something. That joke I made in the Mayor’s office about daddy issues doesn't seem so funny now because his voice and his seriously gruff demeanor is wreaking havoc on my panties. ”I’m waiting, little girl.” Man, I am so glad I am in a thick coat and scarf because every time he calls me a little girl, my nipples start throbbing.

“I said fine. I will clean for you.” He nods and sticks his hands in his pants which shows the outline of his cock. My eyes refuse to leave the hidden appendage, but my mouth is parched.

“Don’t let your eyes lead you astray little one. Nothing about you is ready for me. Now where are your bags and stuff?” I lift the overstuffed purse I have on my shoulder.

“This is it.” He looks at me shocked for a moment before nodding his head.

“You running from something little bunny?” Geez. There he goes with the nicknames. My legs haven’t stopped rubbing together since he accosted me. I shake my head no and try to hide the fear from my eyes. “It’s okay, little one. Sooner or later all of your secrets will be peeled away.” My body shudders when he says it. Something about the low pitch of his voice and his eyes tell me he means that in more ways than one and heck if I wouldn’t let him figure it all out just to continue feeling like this. “Follow me.”
