Sweat built between them, Ajax’s hands running all over Finn’s back and ass. He grabbed his cheeks and rubbed harder and harder. “Wanted you—fuck—to fuck me, but I’m not gonna last.” Each word came on an exhalation before he tilted his head back and groaned. “Finn!”

Ajax’s hot release spilled between their bellies. Finn sucked on his neck, loving how his entire body had tensed up and the naked pleasure in the way he cried out. The way he shook. Finn reached one hand between them, scooped up that still-warm cum, and wrapped his slick hand around his dick. He stroked hard and fast, staring down at the glazed expression on Ajax’s face. “You’re. So. Damn. Gorgeous. Loved watching you come.”

When his orgasm hit, it was like being hit by a tsunami, his whole body shuddering. His eyes rolled back at the intense pleasure as he rode it out, spilling all over Ajax.

“Christ, Finn, yes!” Ajax wrapped his arms around Finn’s neck, tugging him close and burying his face in Finn’s neck. He slumped onto Ajax and worked to bring his breathing back, shudders still vibrating through his body. He turned and met Ajax’s mouth, their lips clinging, before he pulled back to stare down at him. He’d never had a more intense experience in his life. He felt overwhelmed and shocked and…utterly sated. Pleased.

Happy.

He rolled off Ajax and flopped onto his back but kept his hand on Ajax’s stomach, loving the slick feel of their combined releases. He should probably go into the bathroom and grab them a towel, but he wasn’t sure his legs would work right yet. He turned his head to find Ajax watching him and a slow grin pulled up his lips. One that Ajax returned.

“I’m a little embarrassed I went off so quickly like some teenager,” Ajax said, his voice slightly slurred. “I’m pretty sure you just set a really high bar in my sex life.”

“Oh, we can take it even higher.”

“Don’t know about that, but I do want you to fuck me.” He slipped one hand underneath his cheek. “Is that something you like?”

Just thinking about that made him moan. “Oh, yeah.”

“Good, because I’m a very happy bottom.” He let out a soft laugh. “That always surprises partners after they see me on stage. Like that has anything to do with how I like sex. I do top, but I much prefer it the other way.” He slowly rolled and picked up a T-shirt that had been folded on the bedside table before running it over his stomach, then Finn’s. He tugged at the tangle of bedcovers, pulling the sheet up to cover half their bodies. But when he rolled onto his side, that sheet slipped down to barely cover his groin. “Tell me more about you. Were you always able to turn into your vaporous form? Which I kind of can’t wait to see, by the way.”

Finn mimicked his position, propping his head on one hand. “No. I was thirteen when it first happened and it was in front of one of the men who ran the orphanage I was in. Freaked him out, as you can imagine.”

“I bet. What did he do?”

“Locked me into a windowless room. It took me a long time to learn to control my power and escape. Years.”

Ajax sat up. “Seriously? They kept you locked up for years in that room?”

“That one and others, since they moved me around often. They didn’t know what else to do with me. But I turned out okay, as you can see. And it has been a very long time since all that happened.” He patted the bed. “Lie back down with me. I don’t need sympathy; that’s not what I want from you. I wasn’t unhappy, and I got to see many beautiful places while I traveled the world.”

Ajax lay back down, this time closer with his hand on Finn’s chest. “What is it you want from me, then?”

Finn was silent a few moments because he still didn’t know. Well, he did, but it still felt like asking for too much. “Not entirely sure yet. This, whatever is between us, feels pretty intense.”

“It does. I’m fascinated by you.”

He frowned. “Because of my magic?”

“No,” he said softly as he stroked the hair on Finn’s chest. “That’s just a part of who you are. I mean, it’s a big part obviously but not all there is to you. You’re strong and protective. Kind.”

“How do you know I’m kind?”

He chuckled. “We’ve spent a month together now, so how could I not see it? Besides, you’ve eaten all my bad meals without once telling me the truth about them.”

“I like food.”

“But my food?”

“Well…not really. But you’re learning. And that one casserole wasn’t bad. The one with the broccoli.”

Ajax snuggled closer. “Cheese makes everything good.” He kissed Finn’s chest. “I hate that you had such a rough childhood.”
