That was another new development. This morning, Dutch had woken me up with the news that she was two weeks late for her period. She’d then sent me a picture of a pregnancy test that she’d taken at work when she’d gotten there.

I couldn’t explain the amount of euphoria that’d rippled through me at the news.

I was going to be a dad times two.

Yee-fuckin’-haw.

“Snooped through her trash can when I went in there to take a piss earlier,” he answered. “Congrats.”

I rolled my eyes and stood up, following him to the group of people that were all waving and acting like asses.

“So, you’re a soon-to-be dad again, and you already need more sleep?” Davis jeered. “That’s not good.”

I flipped him off. “If you’re curious, I had to go deal with shit last night at the school. Pedro was acting up again. Kid’s a fuckin’ handful.”

Speaking of Pedro, he’d definitely gotten better.

What he’d also done was gotten wilder.

As in, his grandmother had asked me to step in and handle his wild, unruly ways.

And I don’t mean just last night when I caught him trying to roll the school.

He’d gotten about eight toilet paper rolls in when I’d caught him and taken him home to his grandmother, and then I’d given him a stern talking to. He’d told me that he would control himself, and then I’d left, thinking that was it.

I’d gotten another call five minutes before arriving home to tell me that Pedro was finishing the job at the school.

This time, I took him for a ride on my bike for an hour, allowed him to cool his jets and get his shit together, before again taking him home.

That time, he’d stayed. But it hadn’t been the end of my night.

After dropping Pedro off, I’d gotten a call from county telling me that Sheriff Graydon had been involved in an altercation at the jail, and he was at the hospital getting stitches.

I’d then followed him up there to make sure he didn’t pull a ghost on me and slip out into the night. Which, good thing I did, because that motherfucker had an accomplice meeting him to help him escape, and a plan in place to knock the guard out.

Unlucky for him, I’d made sure to fuck him up a little bit before forcing him to go back to the prison where he belonged. Sunny’s fill-in for the time being was useless, and hadn’t even realized that shit was going down at the hospital, or with Graydon, until well into the morning.

Needless to say, I needed the goddamn nap.

“How does everyone already know about this?” I asked, pinning my wife with a look that clearly said she was a little blabbermouth.

She snickered. “Kobe snooped through my trash. Said congratulations in front of Lolo, and then shit just spread like wildfire from there. I think half the town now knows.”

I turned my look to Lolo, who didn’t look sheepish in the slightest. “I was excited. So sue me. I’ve been an only child forever.”

I snorted. “You’ve had Bowie.”

Bowie snorted. “I’m an only child. The best, most special only child there is. And I hope it forever stays that way.”

Surprisingly, it was Aodhan who said, “If your mother has her way, you will stay that way.”

Trouble in paradise. Ruh-roh.

Danyetta didn’t say anything, but she did turn her eyes to glare at him. “Why are we even here right now?”

My question exactly.

“Speaking of that…” Dutch jumped up. “I got you all something!”

She came back with her arms full of leather.

Stopping next to me, she handed me a leather vest, then moved on to Davis, Bain, Etienne, Aodhan, Cassius, and finally, Kobe.

“Now it’s official!” she chirped. “You’re officially the Gator Bait MC!”

I looked at the leather vest, then at my name and the word ‘president’ underneath it and snorted.

“Thanks.”

“I fuckin’ like it,” Cassius said. “Thanks!”

Dutch smiled, then leaned over my back and wrapped her arms around my neck from behind.

“Love you, Wake,” she whispered into my ear.

I clutched at her wrist and pulled her tighter. “Love you more.”

“Now that that’s done…” Lolo clapped. “Let’s talk baby names! What do you think of the name Elijah?”

My wife giggled in my ear.

Bowie choked on his drink. “That’s the evil villain in the last movie I watched. He liked to poke his own fingers up his butthole.”

There was a stunned moment of silence and then I said, “Okay, so no Elijah.”

Again, my wife chimed in with the giggling.

God, I fuckin’ loved her.

“What about Tony?” Dayden asked.

My wife stiffened.

No, the name of the man she murdered wouldn’t do, either.

“Nope.” I shook my head. “Tony’s out, too.”

“How about Kyle? That’s such a strong, awesome name,” Davis suggested.

I snorted. “How about no.”

“What about Wake Westfield, Junior?” Lolo grinned. “JW for short?”

“I freakin’ like it,” Bowie announced. “Let’s go with that one.”
