“Wow, what a night. Blue Divine, thank you for organizing this event and making it all possible. Another round of applause for the queen of queens!” My smile was so big it hurt my cheeks to hold. My heart started to pound a little harder, pulse beginning to spike.

I jumped back in, talking over the “hoots” and “yasss’es.” “For those of you who don’t know, Blue Divine isn’t only my drag mother. She’s also Elijah King, the love of my life and the missing piece of my soul. I had kissed my share of toads before landing on my prince, my king. I was getting tired and ready to quit searching, and that’s when this grumpy little drag queen landed on my lap.

“You were my complete opposite and my perfect match. From the second I laid my eyes on you, I knew I had to have you. Having you now makes me feel like I won the lotto, over and over again. And I never want that feeling to end.”

Blue’s eyes opened even wider as I started to drop to one knee. Jen dimmed the lights and turned the spotlight into a soft pink. The screen behind us changed into a rainfall of rose petals. As I spoke, the words scrawled onto the screen.

“Elijah King—Blue Divine—love of my life, will you marry me?”

I pulled the box out of my bra and opened it, revealing the glinting silver ring inside. The entire room let out a collective gasp as they were held on pins and needles. Elijah wasn’t answering—why wasn’t he saying anything? Holy shit, was he going to say no? Was it the shock? Why is he looking to Jen?

Why was he laughing?

A song started to play. I recognized it immediately. It was one of the songs Elijah had played the first night he put me in drag. We’d talked about the song, pointing out how the lyrics matched us perfectly. A love story veiled under a catchy pop beat, talking about lost-and-found kinds of hearts, pulled together by some invisible force.

And then Elijah went down onto his knee. A blue velvet box dropped from the ceiling on a rope, exactly where Elijah was. My eyes were the ones that popped this time, surprised being an understatement.

Someone in the crowd caught on first. They shouted, “Holy shit! Dueling drag proposals!”

The shock quickly gave way to an immense happiness. I laughed, unable to stop it, staring at the love of my life. “Yes,” I said before Elijah even asked me anything. He slipped his ring on my finger, and I placed mine on his, and we kissed, both of us still on one knee.

On the mic, Jen shouted a “Fuck yeah!” and then pressed another button. Actual rose petals fell from the ceiling and onto the stage, adding to the colorful bed of confetti.

We kissed as engaged drag queens, our smiles lasting longer than our lipsticks, lasting all the way back to my place.

Elijah King

We barely made it inside before our hands were up each other’s dresses. My mouth was all over Ryan’s, lipstick smearing and neither of us caring. I kicked off my heels, sending them flying across the room. Ryan did the same with his, hands still rubbing between my legs. I hadn’t planned on both of us wearing easy-access clothes after the show, but life has mysterious ways of working out perfectly.

Not to mention, there was a certain weight, newly placed, on my ring finger that made this moment all the sweeter.

I pulled off my wig, taking out the pins that held it in place while Ryan kissed my neck, his teeth grazing my skin. I looked down to see Ryan’s massive length throbbing through the thin fabric of his dress.

“It’s like you’ve got a circus tent going on down here,” I said, giggling like a little schoolgirl as I stroked him.

“Guess it explains the elephant trunk, huh?” he said with a wink.

“What does it take to get tickets to this big top?”

“I can get you in for free, don’t worry. I know the ringleader.”

More laughter as the room began to grow warmer. I couldn’t get our clothes off fast enough, slipping out of my dress and getting Ryan to do the same. It took a second longer for me to pull off the tuck tape and let my dick free, which caused me to breathe out a sigh of relief.

It was a different kind of torture to have your dick taped back while it was getting hard.

“You’re lucky your dress was billowy enough to hide all of this,” I said, grabbing a handful of Ryan and kissing him. “Next time, you’re going to have to tuck. Be warned.”

“I’ll start mentally preparing now.”

“Good.” Another kiss and another stroke before I let go.

We walked hand in hand to the couch with our stiff cocks swinging in the air, engaged and horny as all fuck. I pushed Ryan onto the couch and smiled, admiring the man of my dreams turned real.
