“Yes.” That was a wonderful idea. “I’m starving. I’m so hungry I’m going to have to eat second breakfast and lunch when I meet the guys later.”

Oops.

Wiggling around again, I kissed magey once he was looking at my face and not my butt. “But I won’t talk about personal things. You just have to make sure I know what those are. I might need a list.”

There was no point in denying that.

Magey had a lot of things he didn’t want me to talk about and it didn’t make me dumb that I couldn’t remember all of them. He was just a worrier, so it wasn’t my fault.

It made me wonder if the guys knew that Doms were just as bad as Daddies, though.

But since that didn’t seem to be something magey was worried about, I decided I could talk about that without having to worry.

“What about eggs now—I saw a carton of those last night—and you have pancakes for second breakfast?” Daddy laughed when I scrambled around to give him another kiss. “Be careful and don’t squish Carrick.”

“He can heal himself, Daddy.” And he didn’t need everything in his stomach anyway. There had to be some weird leftover organs that weren’t necessary. “You need kisses. That’s a wonderful idea.”

“I need a bigger bed.” Carrick groaned, but he smacked my bottom too, so I knew I didn’t have to take him seriously. “If you don’t stop that, I’ll make oatmeal for breakfast.”

“I like chocolate chips, please.” And fruit, and bacon, and—

“Plain oatmeal.”

Oh.

Pouting at Daddy, I sighed and gave him wide eyes. “He’s grumpy in the morning. You won’t make me eat something yucky, will you, Daddy? I’ve been so good. I even woke you up with kisses.”

Kind of.

Daddy laughed. “Come here, monkey. You climb aboard and we’ll go see if we can start Carrick’s fancy coffee maker.”

Yay.

“Ride, Daddy. Yes.” As Daddy sat up, I scrambled around and hopped up on his back. “Oh, you’ve got more tattoos, Daddy.”

Lots.

As Daddy chuckled, Carrick peeked his eyes open. “How many is lots?”

Giggling, I shrugged as Daddy stood up. “You’re going to have to get out of bed to find out.”

And hopefully, at least one of them would find a reason to flash me at some point.

“Do I want to know why you’re crossing your fingers, monkey?” Daddy’s tone was so silly I hid my face against his back. “I didn’t think so.”

He was silly…but so was Carrick because he was back to groaning. “It’s too early for this.”

Well, he might be grumpy in the morning but he’d made me a sex dungeon and he’d explained to Daddy why spanking me had been a good idea…so I was going to keep him.

Mates were hard work, though.

“I don’t know what I can say.” It was harder than I’d expected. “Carrick is a private person.”

Kenzie and Alick cocked their heads like puppies and Boyd sighed from beside me. “That’s not insane. Stop looking like that. Carrick doesn’t want his private life talked about all over town.”

Looking around the room at all the faces that were aimed in our direction, Boyd might’ve had a point. “Yes, he’s private.”

But what could I say?

“But Carrick has been very nice to me so far and he made me something special at his house that I can’t talk about either.” How was I supposed to brag about him if I couldn’t tell them he made me a sex dungeon?

That had Kenzie and Alick sitting straighter again, and Kenzie leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. “Is it a big something or a little something? Flowers? Mages always make flowers do stuff.”

He had a point.

“No, no flowers and it’s big and special and…kind of like a movie we saw but much prettier. It sparkles too.” Yes, that was a good hint without actually saying what it was. “Once Carrick isn’t so worried about privacy and he knows you can keep a secret, I'll show you."

Oh.

Sitting up, I waved my hands. “That’s it. We have to show him you’re trustworthy.”

“Dragons above.” Boyd glared at us all, but Carrick did it better, so it was easy to ignore. “Don’t do anything stupid.”

“We’ll be smart. Don’t worry.” Kenzie’s bright smile made everything seem better. He’d figure it out. He was happy smart and that was the best kind.

“Yes, once he knows you can respect privacy and we won’t talk about sex stuff in the diner, he’ll be fine.” That wouldn’t be hard. “How should we do it?”

Alick cleared his throat as Boyd looked up at the ceiling and started grumbling. “Well, maybe you should ask your Daddy for an idea? He knows Carrick better.”

“Oh, that’s a good idea.” Boyd’s tone was more relaxed as he grumbled at the ceiling, so I thought he approved too. “And he worries, so keeping him in the loop will make him happier in the long run too.”
