“It might as well be,” she wiggles her finger, “and a sideways smile is that stupid half smile they give you all that make you go weak at the knees.”

“It seems you’ve paid a lot of attention,” I tell her.

She huffs, waving a hand. “I’ve noticed a thing or two.”

“Anyway,” I say to Maggie. “Besides Doris’ wonderful advice, I think you should consider this job. The pay would be incredible, and you’d be able to live in which saves you so much money.”

She purses her lips. “I am so sick of my roommate; I wouldn’t mind living away. I do love when I’m working as a nanny.”

“And just think about all the perks! It would be pretty good.”

“I do love babies. But bikers, tell me, are they are sexy as they look?”

I laugh. “Oh, you have no idea. Trust me, living with Hugh won’t be disappointing.”

“See, I told you,” Doris says. “Nobody can say no.”

I laugh. “Doris, nobody is getting married. We’re just admiring.”

“Admiring is what leads to babies, dear.”

Maggie laughs. “She makes a point, but don’t worry Doris, I have my head screwed on straight.”

Doris wiggles a finger. “That’s what Gabby said and now look at her, over there getting dirty with that man all the time.”

I snort. “I’m a mechanic, I’m not on show for him.”

“You should consider a different job, dear, something more feminine. At least Maggie has the right choice of job. You’re going to be a mother one day, perhaps you should become a nanny too.”

“I’d rather cut out my own eyes with a rusty blade,” I mumble. “No offence, Maggie.”

“None taken,” Maggie laughs. “I feel you. Besides, you’re a good mechanic.”

Doris sighs. “You ladies, I tell you, you’ll be the death of me.”

“You love it, Doris.”

She turns back to her table, but I don’t miss the smile.

“So,” I say to Maggie. “Are you going to take it? Girl, I think you should take it. I need some gossip around here that doesn’t involve me.”

She grins. “I think I’ll consider it.”

“Consider it,” I say. “Trust me, he’s got a sideways smile that will make you swool.”

Doris laughs from her chair.

I grin.

You can’t help but love her, honestly.

“SOMEONE COULD COME in at any second,” I whisper, Remy’s mouth trailing down my neck as he pins me up against a car in the very open garage.

“That’s the best fuckin’ part,” he growls. “Someone could walk in and I’ll have my fingers deep inside you.”

He pushes his fingers further into my pussy, gently stroking as he holds me against the car. It’s hot, hot as fuck. It was even hotter when he came up to me while everyone else was on lunch and grabbed me, dragging me to the car and slamming me against it, his god damned evil mouth devouring mine as he managed to get his hands into my jeans. It’s hot. Everything about this man is hot.

“Remy,” I whimper as he does wicked things to me with his incredibly skilled fingers.

The man knows how to work a pussy. I’m not sure if I should admire that or be jealous about it.

Either way, lucky me.

I’m just about to cum when the door opens, and Riggs walks in with Beckett following close behind him. I want to cry out no, but if I do, they’ll know exactly what we’re doing. We’re sort of hidden by the car, so Remy slowly slides his fingers from me and nods at the guys.

“What the fuck were you two about to do?” Riggs asks.

“Nothin’ boss,” Remy shrugs. “Just makin’ out with my girl while I can.”

Cheeks red, I give them an awkward smile.

“Got someone here to see you, Gabby,” Riggs tells me.

“Oh?” I say, waiting until Remy has subtly buttoned up my jeans before pushing off the car.

“Yeah, they’re out front.”

They?

I wonder who it could be.

I tidy up and then walk out into the office to see two people standing beside the desk. One is an older woman with greying blond hair and a drawn-out face, she looks tired and worn, like life has just been horrible to her. Beside her is a man, dark hair and eyes a little livelier than his wife’s. I assume she’s his wife, they’re standing quite close together and they just look...married.

I walk past the desk and when they notice me, the woman straightens.

“Hi,” I say, honestly a little confused. “I’m Gabriella. I heard you wanted to see me?”

“Yes, hello. I’m Georgia and this is my husband, Roy. We’re Constance’s parents.”

It feels like a weight kind of drops down heavy in my chest. I study the two of them. I have looked at photos of Constance’s parents in the articles I looked up, but it didn’t click to me. I give them a sympathetic smile, unsure how I’m supposed to react. I don’t even know why they’re here, but considering they probably thought I killed their daughter only days ago, I’m assuming it’s probably not great.
