Eve exhales. So do I.

“Oh, thank god. Is she at home or in the hospital?”

“In the hospital, dear. I’ll give you the details.”

We chat with Meg for a bit and then drive to the local hospital where Doris is still staying. We go inside and to her room, knocking before entering. Doris is there, doctor by her side, and judging by the expression on his face, she’s telling him off. Of course she is, she wouldn’t be Doris if she wasn’t.

“Oh, Eve, thank goodness you’re here. This doctor just told me I must get up today. I don’t think he understands what it’s like to have an old body and a broken hip. Can you come in here and tell him that I’m not going to be doing it?”

God.

I can’t help but smile as we walk in, and Eve goes right over and hugs the little old woman.

“Now now, none of that,” Doris scoffs, waving her hand. “There’s nothing wrong with me, just a little fall.”

“You broke your hip,” I point out.

She rolls her eyes. “Don’t you know what they can do with those 3G printers these days, they just whipped me up a brand new one.”

I giggle. “You mean 3D?”

“Yes yes, that.”

“I’ll give you ladies a minute with her, if you can convince her that movement is crucial for her healing, that will be great.”

The doctor gives us a smile and then gets the hell out of there before Doris can scald him even more.

“Those doctors think they know everything,” she mumbles.

Eve laughs. “Well, Doris, they kind of do. You should do what they say.”

“I don’t need them to tell me when to get up. I’ll get up when I’m ready. I already have to sell my house and move into one of those old people’s home.”

“Doris, I hate to break it to you-” I begin, but she cuts me off.

“Don’t dare say I’m old, dear. I might look old, but on the inside I’m as young as they come. I don’t want to sit there and drink cups of tea while talking about our next game of lawn bowls. Those women are so catty, my friend Mavis told me that they make up stories and spread them around like little old gossips. Imagine what they’ll say about me when I come in with my gentleman friends?”

I press my hand to my mouth to smother a laugh.

Eve’s grin is ear to ear. “Doris, you can’t be flaunting men around in a place like that. They’re old, they might get distressed.”

“While this old ticker is beating,” Doris says, thumping her chest, “I’ll be prowling.”

Oh, good lord.

I can’t hold my laugh in any longer.

“Well, a broken hip certainly hasn’t stopped you,” Eve giggles. “Look, I’m going to give you my phone number just in case anything happens, and I don’t know where you are.”

“Eve, I don’t know if you know this, but we’re not related,” Doris says, a cheeky grin on her old face.

“We might as well be, I’ve had to put up with your advice for long enough. Plus, you’ll need some help moving.”

“Are you going to bring those big bikers around? If so, I might consider giving you my number.”

I smile at Eve, who rolls her eyes. “Consider it a deal. But we’re not doing anything until you get up and out of this bed.”

“Fine, I’ll get out of bed, but not until tomorrow. They’ve got custard and cake on the menu tonight and if I get up, they’ll kick me out. I need to enjoy it a little bit longer. Have you ever had a sponge bath, dear? Not as bad as you might think.”

Oh for crying out loud.

I shake my head. “We better go before this woman cripples me with laughter.”

Eve nods. “I agree. Doris, you’re crazy. I’ve put my number in your phone. You call me if you ever need, okay?”

“Yes dear.”

We both hug her and leave.

“God, that woman is something else,” Eve says to me, still grinning.

“You think? If I can be anything when I get older, it will be her. A million times over.”

“I’m with you there, she’s one of a kind.”

Indeed she is.

Indeed. She. Is.

MY FINGERNAILS GLIDE down Remy’s back as he fucks me against the kitchen counter, his cock driving in and out of my wet flesh. I moan, head tipping back as he brings me to yet another orgasm. The man is unstoppable. Not a single day goes by where he isn’t dishing out every single inch of him for me to take. My mouth finds his and I kiss him with a ferocity that makes him growl, a sound that hits me right to my core.

“God damn,” he murmurs into my ear, “I could fuck you forever and never get bored.”

“I hope you do,” I whisper, crying out as pleasure shoots through my body.
