Colton holds up his hands in a gesture of surrender as if he doesn’t understand why Beck is pissed off. “Whatever. Don’t get your panties in a bunch.” As he slips through the iron gate, he calls over his shoulder, “You got ten. Wrap this shit up and let’s go.”

Once Colton disappears around the side of the house and we’re alone, I slam my fists into Beck’s chest. “Let me go!”

“Mia—”

“No!” I shake my head, unwilling to hear him out. No more excuses. “Just let me go.”

“Give me a chance to explain!”

With his arms locked around my body, it’s impossible to move.

“Don’t bother. This was a stupid game, so don’t worry about it.” Even though I try to keep the hurt and anger locked deep inside, it all comes flooding out in a rush. “You better get moving. You’ve got chicks waiting for you.”

I hate the jealousy that drips from my words.

“They’re just a couple of random girls we’re supposed to meet up with tonight, that’s it. They mean nothing.”

I can’t hear anything through the pain that has all but swallowed me whole. “I don’t care. Let me go.” I feel like such a fool.

“Mia,” his voice becomes so low that it sounds as if it’s been dredged from the bottom of the ocean, “please.”

“Let go!” I pound on his chest with my fists. If only it were possible to do damage. Instead of hurting him, I’m inflicting pain onto myself.

When he refuses, I snake a hand between our bodies until I’m able to wrap my fingers around his balls. His eyes flare as mine narrow. Once I have his undivided attention, I give them a good squeeze.

A hiss of breath escapes from his lips.

As soon as he releases me, I bolt toward the tiled edge and hoist myself from the pool. I glance over my shoulder and find Beck where I left him. He’s hunched over with his hands cupping his dick and balls.

“Was that necessary?” he groans.

“Yup.” Even though he’s in pain, I can’t bring myself to regret the damage I’ve caused. He deserves every bit of agony.

I grab my towel and cover-up, hightailing it from Beck’s yard before he can recover.

As I’m about to push through the gate, he calls out, “This isn’t over, Mia.”

I swing around. “That’s where you’re wrong because we never started.”

With that last parting shot, I walk away, leaving him to hold his balls.

Hopefully, he’ll be too sore to use them tonight.

We’ll consider that a little gift to the chicks he’s meeting up with.

Chapter Eight

Beck

For years, I’ve fantasized about Mia touching my junk. Although, in my mind, it was more of a caress. Maybe there would be a little licking and sucking thrown in for good measure. In no way did I expect her to try popping them.

Fuck me.

My poor balls throb with a strange mixture of need spiked pain. Surprisingly, that last maneuver wasn’t enough to kill the desire rampaging through my system. Although it took the edge off. All I have to do is think about Mia’s curvy body pressed against mine, and I’m once again rising to the occasion.

My tongue swipes across my lower lip and a taste that is distinctly Mia explodes in my mouth. I don’t want to dwell on how different the outcome would have been if Colton hadn’t interrupted us.

Stupid motherfucker.

The moment he realized I had my hands full of the only girl I’ve ever wanted, he should have turned around and walked away. Fuck the chicks we’re meeting up with. Instead, he took joy in pissing her off and now I’m back to square one. She wouldn’t even give me a chance to explain.

Does she really think I have any interest in other girls?

Hell, no. It’s always been Mia.

Colton is the one trying to drown himself in pussy, not me. He might not be willing to admit that he fucked up when he cut Alyssa loose, but deep down he knows the mistake he made. I have no idea why Colton thinks nailing as much ass as he can get his hands on is the solution. The only thing it’s going to do is up his chances of contracting an STI.

Right now, I’m all but wishing it on him.

With a sigh, I swim to the side of the pool and hoist myself out. I scoop up my towel, running it over my hair and body before heading inside the house. As I jog up the staircase to the second floor, I force down my growing erection. I’m not sure what’s worse. A case of blue balls or bruised ones.

Seems like I was dealt both.

Every time I take a step forward with Mia, something inevitably happens, and I get shoved back four or five steps. It’s like playing a game of Chutes and Ladders. Those damn chutes will get you every time.
