I had issues…

T-shirt fabric was my favorite. Even my bedsheets were jersey material now, and it was almost as perfect as Colt’s tee. His sweats ranked up there as well. The cuddliness factor went up by a hundred thousand.

Colt hummed and wrapped me in a tight hug. “This is nice, innit?”

I nodded against his neck. The comfort was still outside of my reach; this was too new, too unfamiliar, and I didn’t know how to get used to his hands on my skin. He had to feel the scars. But I didn’t want to move. He smelled amazing, and he was holding me. I wasn’t alone.

“Here.” He gathered my hands on his chest instead, silently telling me to cuddle up against him. “You’re stuck here for a couple hours now, so you might as well get comfortable.”

“In ten minutes, you won’t feel your legs,” I protested.

He shook with a silent laugh. “You let me worry about my legs, boy. You’re lighter than a feather.”

I was not!

I huffed. “Why do you want me on your lap for so long, anyway?”

I caught his grin before he ducked his head to give my shoulder a playful nip. It was so bizarre, this entire situation. The lines were incredibly blurry, mainly because I’d seen how some kinksters interacted. I’d seen groping and kissing between friends, both at munches and at events.

Did Colt and Lucas want to play with me like Abel was so sure of? Even I couldn’t deny that the evidence pointed that way, and if it was true… Whoa.

“For one, you’re not trembling anymore.” Colt brushed his fingertips up my back, but he was nice enough to do it over the blanket. “For two, if you start talking shit about my Viper again, I’ll have you right here so I can knock some sense into you.”

His Viper…? Oh. Of course. The plane—the F-16. And as I understood what he was referring to, I straightened up with a scowl. “I didn’t talk shit about the F-16. I told you it’s my favorite.”

He leaned back against the cushions and folded his fingers behind his head.

“After you said that the Raptor was the king of the sky,” he pointed out.

“Because it is!” I insisted. How could he not see this? It was absolute madness, and before I knew it, I launched into a rant on why the F-22 was superior. And I was just gone. I drifted into a world of fighter jets and air warfare. Seeing the models I’d built, the books I’d gotten lost inside of, the heated debates I’d crushed people in, I ticked each item off my fingers, from the stealth technology that was so advanced they didn’t even allow other countries to purchase the plane, to the multipurpose features that’d been upgraded to the extremes. For goodness’ sake, the Air Force didn’t even buy the F-16 anymore because newer, far more advanced planes had been produced.

At the end of my rambling, I sucked in some much-needed air, and I blinked. I wasn’t in my room. I wasn’t arguing with people online. I wasn’t surrounded by my models.

Colt was watching me with eyes lit up with amusement.

The bastard! “Are you provoking me?” I demanded.

That made him laugh, and he leaned forward to hug me again. “You’re fun to rile up.”

Without thinking, I smacked his arm and—that was it. The hug ended abruptly, and Colt grabbed my jaw. My stomach somersaulted. I forgot how to breathe. Despite the lingering mirth in his eyes, there was an underlying threat clouding the green, and it shot my nerves straight to hell.

“Did you just hit me?”

I started shaking my head, but, oh God, that was a lie. “I’m sorry.”

He narrowed his eyes.

“Sir,” I added nervously. “I’m sorry, Sir. I’m very sorry.”

He thawed out slowly, too slowly, but eventually, he gathered me in his arms again. “We’re gonna work on your fear.” He hummed. “It might take all summer.”

What—

“What might take all summer?” That was Lucas. It seemed for one reason or another, my heart was going to race all day. How on earth would I ever relax around these two? “Aren’t you cute together?” Lucas smiled and set down a tray filled with snacks and candy, then found his own seat next to us.

“The cutest,” Colt agreed and gave my cheek a loud kiss.

I flushed like the useless idiot I was.

I hadn’t foreseen how absolutely frazzled I was going to be. My existence consisted of monotony and occasionally venturing outside to see how others lived their lives. Now, I had two out-of-this-world handsome Doms in my house. There was no protocol, no cues, no lines, no guarantees, no safety net.

“I was telling Kit we’re gonna work on his fear,” Colt said. “It might take a while—and what do you think you’re doin’, darlin’? You said we had to be in comfortable clothes for this. Go change.”
