“Alright.” I stand and reach for her hand. “I’m betting they’re in the parlor right now.”

I hold her soft hand tightly in mine and lead her down the darkened hall. “These are the member areas of the club.” I point at the entrance to the bar area, which has a large parlor on the left side. “Single members mingle here.” Since it’s a Friday night, we’re packed to the gills. “Most of the private rooms are booked weeks or months ahead, but we also have several rooms that are rented by the year to exclusive members,” I explain the basics to her.

“Since Riley and the rest of the band are brand new members, they have restricted access.”

“Restricted access?” She glances up at me with a raised eyebrow. “What does that mean?”

“I’ll explain it all to you during your tour.”

Chapter 5

Raven

As his thumb rubs circles around the sensitive skin on my knuckles, I almost self-combust as lust roars through my soul. I barely hear a word Roman is saying, so I shrug and nod my head, hoping to disguise the crazy feelings running through me.

“Raven.” Riley walks up, interrupting us, and I’m almost glad to have the time to collect my scattered thoughts. “What do you think?” he asks, and I realize he thinks Roman showed me around the club. Since I don’t want anything else to delay our negotiations, I don’t correct him.

“It’s interesting.” I smile at Riley and pull myself together. The sooner I get this contract out of the way, the sooner I can go back to my hotel room and figure out what in the world is happening to me. I glance at Roman out of the corner of my eye, hoping he doesn’t spill the beans on me while asking Riley, “Can we discuss business now?”

“Sure. Jaxon just arrived, and we arranged to have a private table.” He points to the back corner, and I see his manager and the rest of the band spread out in the large round booth.

Before I walk away, Roman leans down to whisper in my ear, “I’ll let you finish your business with the group, and then we can discuss our very personal business.” His warm breath brushes against the skin beneath my ear, and I almost turn into a puddle of goo on the spot.

“Great.” I give him a smile while mentally pulling up my big girl panties. First, I need to do my job. Then I’ll figure out what’s going on between me and the smoking hot club owner.

As I follow Riley over to the secluded table, I look back over my shoulder and see Roman staring intently back at me from his seat at the end of the bar. I force myself not to adjust the ridiculously short skirt and slide into the booth.

It takes a monumental effort on my part to push thoughts of Mr. Greek God to the back of my mind while I discuss the contract with the group.

After a few minutes, I suddenly suspect they have already decided to sign the contract. “Is there anything else you’d like to know about the contract before you make up your minds?” I glance around at the six men sitting at the table with me. Riley August, the tall, muscular, blond-haired lead singer is sitting on my right side nursing a glass of dark amber liquid. To the right of him is Sean Malcom, the tall, dark-haired lead guitarist, and next is Owen Ryder, the smoking hot, dark-haired, blue-eyed drummer. On the side of Owen are twins, Cooper Torres, the bass guitar player, and River Torres, the other guitarist-slash-keyboard player. The amount of male hotness sitting at this table should affect me, but my heart and hussy girly parts seem to only react to one man. The Greek God sitting at the bar staring at us.

“I think the guys are ready to sign the contract if you think Inked Knight Records can handle Sp*nked’s unusual brand,” Jaxon Hughes, the band’s manager tells me. “The last record company we negotiated with wanted them to tone down their stage theatrics, and that isn’t going to happen.” He adds his warning, and I realize that’s what this whole meeting at a BDSM club is about.

“Inked Knight Records is accustomed to allowing our musicians to maintain their unique brands, as long as it doesn’t affect our company adversely or break the contract specifications.”

“Then why don’t we go over the contract and we’ll send it to our attorney for a quick look? We should be able to sign it sometime next week.” Fudge. I wasn’t planning on staying here that long. I guess I’ll have to pay to change my ticket anyway. Roman offered his plane on Sunday, but I’m doubting his offer extends through next week, too.

“I’ll extend my stay in town so we can meet when you guys are ready to sign the contract.”
