Even though I left the job in Chicago, Tiny asked if I’d be willing to help him out on a freelance basis. I act as a sort of quality control consultant. We don’t really have a name for me yet, and I’m not making nearly as much as I was when I was fully employed with him, but at least it’s something. And it’ll be great for my resume when I start looking for jobs in the field.

“How about you guys go along, and we’ll meet you there,” Cody says.

“No. It’s not a big deal. I’ll be done in like ten minutes. No need to spoil your night over it.”

“Spoil my night? I was just using it as an excuse to get a BJ before we head out.”

He rushes up against me, pushing me back against the wall like we’re the only two people in the room, and as much as a moment like this might embarrass me normally in front of my friends, the moment his lips are against mine, it’s easy for me to abandon my concern.

“I guess I’ll be videotaping.” It’s Doc’s voice. Cody pulls away from me, and we turn to him as he passes, looking so much better than he did in that hospital bed after that heart attack. Fortunately, he’s getting regular check-ups, and he’s even started hitting the gym with Cody, something that I can tell they both are enjoying a hell of a lot.

“I’m actually about to clear outta here too,” he says. “You think you can close down the shop and cut the lights for me?”

“Absolutely.”

“Okay,” Travis says. “You two get your nasty on, and text us, but if you try to bail on us, we’re getting trashed and coming right over to your place.”

“Deal,” Cody says as he pulls away from me.

The gang packs up and heads out. I head into Doc’s office and finish up the project I’ve been working on for Tiny while Cody cleans up his workstation.

When I’m finished, I head into the shop.

Cody stands behind the front desk, chatting with a guy who I guess must’ve walked in after the guys left. In a tank top that reveals a tattoo running down the side of his arm, he towers over Cody, an intense look on his face as his eyebrows pull together like he’s thinking very hard about something. Sort of an older guy. The kind of guy Derek would be drooling all over if he was here.

As I approach the front desk, Cody reviews some tattoos in a book he’s holding. “Something like this is what I figure you’re going for,” he says before turning to me. “Hey, boo. Hayden, this is Jackson. Jackson, this is my man, Hayden.”

We shake. The guy has a firm grip. His lips pull into a smile as he says, “Nice to meet you. Sorry, I didn’t realize you guys were closing. I just moved to the neighborhood, and I saw the lights on. Figured I’d come in and ask about a tattoo I’m interested in getting.”

“Not an issue at all,” Cody says.

I drape my arm across Cody’s shoulders. “Yeah, don’t worry. This guy can talk shop all night.”

We chat with the guy some more, and when he leaves, Cody finishes cleaning up his workstation before plopping down in the chair. I sit in the one Derek was in, looking through the magazine Derek left out.

“Get over here,” he says, his voice low, insistent. He’s got that hungry look in his eyes.

“What?”

“You heard me.”

I set the magazine in the chair, head over, and fall into his lap, my ass against his crotch.

“Been a long week,” I say.

“Yes, it has, but I’m eager to crawl back into bed with my boyfriend.”

“Oh, boyfriend? Who is this boyfriend you’re referring to?”

“You may have met him. He’s this dork with glasses. Kind of hot. Big old bottom.”

“Oh, really?”

“Except when he tops. Then he’s a real fucking great top.”

I chuckle, and as I do my glasses slide down my nose. I push them back up, and Cody growls.

“Now you’re just trying to get me to ravage you.”

“Ravage me? Well, if you insist.”

I kiss him, and he cups his hand behind my neck, pushing me against him.

He slides his free hand under my shirt, and I feel his cock hardening against my ass. And then mine goes hard, too.

“Uh oh,” Cody says as he checks out the erection in my pants. “We’d better take care of that before we go out.”

“Yeah. I would hate to be hard while I’m on the dance floor. That’d be really embarrassing.”

“So fucking embarrassing. I mean, I could totally help you with that, if you wanted.”

“You know, I was just thinking, if only I had someone who was altruistic enough to help me deal with this serious medical condition, that’d be great.”
