“I love you too, Robert.” Tears well up in her eyes, but she keeps herself from crying. “I was starting to wonder if I’d ever find someone I could truly love. And then I found you.”

“We found each other,” I reply.

Eyes watering, she reaches up and grabs my neck, pulling me in for a kiss.

“I’ll mess up your lipstick,” I whisper.

“I don’t care.”

We kiss, and it’s like a lifetime of desire exploding at once. It’s hard to believe I’ve only truly known Katie for a few days. But my love for her is so powerful…I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life.

There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her. And she knows that.

“All right,” I say. “Let’s do this.”

Katie grins and squeezes my hand as we walk up to the door. I hear everyone’s voices from the study. They all look up as we walk in.

I almost burst out laughing when I see their expressions. Mom is looking at me like I’ve lost my mind, and the girls both have different looks of disgust on their faces. Kyle looks like it’s taking every ounce of willpower he has not to walk over and hit me.

I almost wish he’d try…

“Ah, now that Mr. Reed is finally here, we can begin the proceedings.” Johnathan, our family lawyer, smiles from his seat at the wide mahogany table. I’ve known him long enough to know that he wants to get this done as quickly as possible so he can get home to watch one of the countless football games he’s got recorded.

“Is everyone ready to get started?” he asks.

“Yes,” I reply. “We are.”

I pull a chair up beside my mom and give her a kiss on the cheek. She gives me the death stare.

“She’s your son’s fiancée! They’re getting married!”

I give her a knowing smile. “Ah, I guess Kyle didn’t tell you the whole story.”

Mom frowns. “Story? What story?”

Katie sits down beside me, and I place a hand on her knee. My heartbeat rises as I think back to last night and the final piece of our plan coming together…

“You sure you want to be here for this?” Katie asks. “I know it’s fake, but I still wouldn’t want to hear you say something like this to another woman.”

Smiling, I pull her into my lap and slide a hand up her shirt. We just had sex in the shower, and I still can’t stop touching her.

“Your concern is touching,” I say. “But I’ll be okay.”

“You sure?”

I nod and drag my lips across her cheek. “Let’s do this.”

“Okay.”

Katie takes out her phone, scrolls through her contacts, and hovers her thumb over my son’s name. I notice she’s changed his contact to KYLE THE ASSHOLE and chuckle. Taking a deep breath, she makes the call.

My dick of a son answers on the first ring. She puts it on speaker.

“Katie!” He sounds ecstatic. Katie and I both shake our heads. “Tell me you’ve made up your mind. And tell me it’s the right answer.”

“Kyle, I’ve made up my mind,” Katie replies, her eyes on me.

She looks hesitant, but more than that, she’s trying to reassure me with her gaze. I squeeze her breast and kiss her neck to let her know that I’m with her. That I understand.

“And?” I can practically see Kyle on the other end pacing his room.

Katie takes another deep breath, shakes her head, and replies, “I’ll marry you.”

“Yes!” he shouts. “You will not regret this.”

“Goodbye, Kyle.”

Katie hangs up. We both look at each other for a long moment. Neither of us knows what to say. Finally, I lift Katie up and pull her panties off. Laying her down on the hardwood floor, I spread her legs and slide my cock right where it belongs. We make love, and like every time before, I finish inside her. I breed my angel.

I’m an addict. And the only cure for my addiction is more Katie.

“We are here today to discuss the last will and testament of Thomas Reed—”

Before John can get too deep into things, I push my chair back and stand. Everyone looks at me like I’ve lost my mind.

“One thing, Johnathan,” I say. “There’s something I would like to share. Well, something Katie and I would like to share.”

Kyle’s eyes go wide, and his whole face nearly falls off as Katie hands me her cell phone.

“As most of you may not know, there’s a clause in Dad’s will saying Kyle must be married by his twenty-first birthday in order to receive any inheritance. I guess Dad didn’t trust Kyle to be responsible enough with his life if he made him a millionaire,” I chuckle. “And as the rest of you clearly don’t know, by the looks on your faces when we came in, my ex-girlfriend, Clarice, was having an affair…with Kyle.”

Everyone at the table gasps, including Johnathan. Mom looks like someone told her she has two months to live.
